What are your opening hours?
We are open 8.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday
How do I get my equipment?
Please contact our office with:
- What equipment you’d like to purchase or hire (or lifting problem you need help with)
- Where you would like it delivered
- If hiring equipment, the date you would like to hire
- Equipment can be delivered direct to site or can be collected from our depot
- Delivery prices depend upon the equipment and location.
Do you deliver to site?
Yes! we deliver to site – we require a full address, Eircode for the site, contact name and number.
How do I pay?
- Credit card (Mastercard, VISA, Maestro)
- Debit card
- BACS Payment: the funds will need to be cleared prior to the start date of the hire.
- Apply for an account with us, and receive an invoice
Do you recertify glass vacuum lifters?
Yes! We inspect, repair, service and recertify all major brands of Vacuum lifters including
Do you offer training?
Yes! We offer Lantra-accredited training for spider cranes. Contact our office to arrange suitable dates for group.
Do you offer inductions on specialised lifting equipment?
Yes! We offer CIRI CPD approved online inductions on a variety of glass vacuum lifters, pick & carry cranes and overhang beams. Find out more here or contact our office.
Do you offer instructor-led inductions on glass vacuum lifters?
Yes! We offer a closed course induction training courses for glass vacuum lifters at our premises or in another controlled environment (not on a construction site).
Can I set up an account?
We can set up a new account for your hire subject to approval (30 days end of month payment subject to terms and conditions). When hiring equipment, your first Invoice on the account will need to be paid via a credit or debit card prior to the hire commencing. When hiring a crane with an operator payment must be paid through BACS and have cleared prior to the hire commencing.
Are you open on Saturday?
No, we do not open on a Saturday.
If you wish to off-hire your equipment for the weekend, you will need to contact our office on a Friday to off-hire the equipment. We will collect the equipment on the following Monday. Any equipment left on site, even once off hired, must be kept secure and safe.
Any equipment damaged or stolen that is left on site is the responsibility of the client.
What if my crane breaks down?
Hired Cranes
If you have hired a crane from us and it breaks down on site, please call the office or email sales@liffeycranehire.ie and we will send out an engineer to fix the crane, or replace it with another one.
Purchased Cranes
If you have purchased a crane from Liffey Crane Hire and it breaks down within the warranty period, we will repair the crane and provide any parts needed.
What if my vacuum lifter breaks down?
If you have hired a vacuum lifter from us and it breaks down on site, please call our depot and we will help troubleshoot the problem over the phone and if necessary, send out a technician.
In certain circumstances we will issue a replacement vacuum lifter, please contact us for more information.
If you have purchased a vacuum lifter from Liffey Crane Hire and it breaks down, we will try to troubleshoot it for you over the phone, or arrange repair at our depot, please contact our office on (01)6120562 for assistance.
What if my hire equipment breaks down on site?
If your equipment breaks down, please contact our office, and we will be happy to help.
